Snowboarding trip
We went on a skiing and snowboarding trip in the middle of January in Kiviõli. Kiviõli is known for mining oil shale, and as there aren’t many slopes in Estonia, the Kiviõli skiing resort was created on an artificial hill made out of ash.
On the first night we arrived to our house, something amazing happened, something that many of us have dreamt of seeing while moving to Estonia – Aurora Borealis! It was an amazing sight and we knew we were going to have a great experience there.
It was the first time on a snowboard or skis for most of us and we had a lot of fun learning together. In the evening we enjoyed the Sauna and shared stories. In the end we got back with all our bones intact and we can’t wait to go back!
Global Game Jam Pärnu
In the end of January we hosted the Global Game Jam in Pärnu for the very first time! We had participants from Finland, Latvia and of course, from Pärnu. The theme for this Global Game Jam was Duality and 4 really interesting prototypes were created on our site. One team even decided to take on a challenge of creating a game using PowerPoint.
Big thank you to our sponsors HUUB, Estonia Medical Spa & Hotel, Pärnu Pizza Kiosk, Red Bull, BELIEF Energy Water and Poisi Eine!
The Fundamentals of Video Game Development course
Last November we started a video game fundamentals course together with the University of Tartu Pärnu College. The students are currently developing their final projects in teams of two and are preparing themselves to graduate the course next month.
We wish them all the best of luck and eagerly waiting to see the projects!
New team members
In January we welcomed Obiwan to our team as a developer.
Happy to have you on the team!
