November is the darkest month of the year in Estonia, with days getting shorter and there’s yet no snow to brighten the nights. We survived – and made a great month out of it, read what we were up to!
Gamedev Estonia
Gamecan, together with Placeholder Gameworks and the founder of LVLup! video game museum, founded an NPO called Gamedev Estonia. The NPO was created to grow and support the Estonian game development ecosystem.
The work has already started with gathering information on the companies and developers who are active in game development in Estonia.
We are really excited to help kickstart the gamedev scene in Estonia and can’t wait to see what the future brings!
Welcoming new people to the office
November was an exciting month for the office with welcoming new co-workers, closest relocating from the other side of Estonia, furthest coming from Los Angeles. Everyone came together to help getting the office ready for new people – we put together tables, chairs and needed to do some re-organizing. It’s awesome to see us growing so fast!
International Men’s Day
The women in our office decided to surprise our office men for the International Men’s Day and went to work extra early to set it up. We put up a sign, arranged balloons and snacks. Overall it turned out to be a nice surprise and it makes us wonder what the guys will come up for the International Women’s Day.
OK-OK center
We like to find different fun activities to do together with our co-workers and their spouses every month, so we decided to check out the new entertainment center in Pärnu. We had a great time having a friendly competition at bowling, enjoyed some snacks and drinks, and we’ll definitely visit OK-OK center again to try their other activities.
