Full Cycle Game Academy
After months of preparations and hard work, Full Cycle Game Academy had its first lecture on the 5th of September! It was really great to meet with our students and see our talented lecturers give their first lessons!
After we had our first lesson we got some great news – Full Cycle Game Academy is now the first Unreal Authorized Training Centre in all of Northern Europe! Yes, we are on the map and couldn’t be any happier about this!
Epic Games launched the Unreal Authorized Training Program to support those who commit to a high standard of Unreal Engine training. Being an Unreal Authorized Training Center means that Epic Games supports the Full Cycle Game Academy’s training process so that together with the center, we can ensure that our students receive the highest quality of Unreal Engine education.
After the first week of Full Cycle lessons, we held a welcome party for all our students, where we all got to know each other better. We had the party at Pärnu’s youth centre HUUB, where Gamecan spent the night chatting with Full Cycle students, playing cards against humanity and of course video games!
It was a great night and everyone had a lot of fun!
Mobidictum Business Conference
This September, Gamecan went to Istanbul, Turkey, to attend the Mobidictum Business Conference. Gamecan was there to showcase the latest version of our IP and our CTO Flávio Pontes held an exciting talk on the topic of – “Thinking Ahead: Developing a PC game in Unreal Engine slated for Consoles”.
Thanks to our team, who worked hard for this conference, and Mobidictum for inviting us!
MängudeÖÖ is one of Estonia’s biggest video game expos, with the main focus on Estonian-made games, organized by GameDev Estonia. It is traditionally held at night and the main action usually starts at midnight. The entire night, you can play games, try new and innovative technologies, watch different video game-related contests and enjoy all the entertainment around you.
GameDev Estonia gave us our own Gamecan & Full Cycle Game Academy corner, where we shared our merch and experiences. We took some Full Cycle Game Academy students with us, and had a great time! We got to play all the new Estonian-made games and more. Since it was a night-time event, it was a little difficult to stay up but it was worth it!
