We were so happy to finally share a secret we have been keeping – Gamecan partnered with Modus Games and Fun Labs, to create the next entry in the Maximum Football franchise!

We are beyond excited to have been given this opportunity and we are already hard at work!

Pärnu Games Incubator Demo Day

In July we started the Pärnu Games Incubator in Pärnu where people from all around the world could sign up and choose to either relocate or participate remotely. One of the major tools offered in the incubator was the help and guidance from talented mentors from the Nordics, Baltics and the USA. All mentors are specialists in the industry ranging from production, marketing, business development, etc.

On the 21st of September seven teams had completed the 8-week course and pitched their game studios and projects to an audience – many for the first time. The projects were presented during a twitch stream hosted by Gamecan and Tomi Toikka. The goal was to find funding and investments for the teams. 3 of the teams are now considering moving to Pärnu and starting their game studio here.

For next year, we are planning to bring the incubator to a even higher level with more teams, more mentors and sponsors.

MängudeÖÖ

MängudeÖÖ is Estonia’s biggest gaming event series taking place at a cinema. There are different tournaments on the big screens, showcasing of old and new computers, previews of local games, cosplay competition and much more.

We had a booth, where we talked more about our company, showed pictures and videos of our events and answered to all sorts of questions people had for us. In between, we enjoyed playing old games like “Pac-Man”, watched the intense tournaments and one of the event’s highlights for us was busting our moves at “Just Dance”. If you want to see our moves, check our Instagram @gamecanteam 😉

It was really fun to try different games and meet new people, we’ll definitely be there next time!
